Text: Jeremiah 29:11-13
“When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers.”
Because there are a lot of plans, there should be a lot of prayers too.
We should devote our plans in prayers.
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
-Jeremiah 33:3 (God never said Call Me Maybe)
A prayerful church makes a powerful church.
God is never done with our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 declares that He has plans for us.
Remember: There is never a downtime for prayer and requests. Prayer never runs out of power. As long as there are prayer requests, we should keep praying.
There is limit in this world but never in prayer. Through prayer, we show that we are concern with each other. When we love one another, we pray for one another.
Think of this: What if our prayers have load? What if we were only given 100 pesos for 100 prayers?
We are blessed that we can pray anytime and any where. But how many times do we devote in prayer?
The people who come in prayer meetings are the ones who value prayers. They set aside other things just for praying an hour and a half for the church, for their love ones, for the lost souls and for the nation.
Warriors are needed every Wednesday. This calls for everyone of us.
“Prayer is the greatest contribution we can make at this very critical time… May we not lose the word concern in our vocabulary… Let prayer be our passion. Let it be our practice.”
-Robert E. Lee
Do not miss the opportunity of praying.
B. God listens
We call, God listens. He is not deaf. He is listening. We might wait but for sure God always listens to our prayer requests.
C. Connect to God
“When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul.”
Search for God. Seek Him with all your heart and soul.
“We must search for him, accomplish a diligent search, search for directions in seeking him and encouragements to our faith and hope. We must continue seeking and take pains in seeking as those that search, and this we must do with our hearts (that is in sincerity and uprightness) and with our whole heart, and those who seek God shall find him, and shall find him their bountiful reward.”
We fail to commune because we are distracted by this busy world. Find time of silence and listen to Him. Seek and we will find.
“Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
We are praying because this is who we are. We are called to communicate with God.
We need to get close with God. We are supposed to be close with Him, only then will we understand His plans.
Get closer to His will.
There is power in numbers.
When we find Him, we get to know Him.
God’s plans are good.
He listens and answers.
His plan for us is to connect (pray) always.
